The UrbanSim Community is composed of public agency planners and managers using UrbanSim. Similar in spirit to the ActivitySim consortium, the group brings together agencies to share experience, coordinate development priorities, and jointly support the maintenance and development of the open source UrbanSim codebase at github.com/UDST/.
The Zephyr Foundation is releasing a Request for Qualifications (available here) to establish a Consultant Bench for maintenance and development of the open source UrbanSim codebase. UrbanSim was originally developed as an open source platform for modeling urban development and land use change, used by agencies worldwide for long-range transportation and land use planning. Through this RFQ, Zephyr and the UrbanSim Community are seeking qualified consultants to provide as-needed open source software development, feature implementation, and related technical work under task orders.
